EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

“Live and learn: Total immersion in Spanish”

Inmersión para aprender español

ALL LEVELS: A1-C1

General objectives

  1. Develop communicative competence in Spanish (oral and written).
  2. Promote knowledge of Hispanic culture.
  3. Encourage student autonomy in real-life contexts.
  4. Prepare students for the official DELE certification (Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language).

Program structure

  • Suggested duration: 6 months per level.
  • Duration of each class: 1 hour.
  • Intensive: 8 weeks per level.
  • Weekly hours: 20-25 hours:
    • 15 hours of classes (grammar, vocabulary, oral and written interaction)
    • 5 hours of cultural and linguistic workshops
    • 5 hours of immersion activities and outings

Cross-disciplinary cultural activities

  1. Regional dance workshops.
  2. Cooking classes.
  3. Excursions to museums and historical sites.
  4. Spanish and Latin American cinema.
  5. Themed week on Spanish-speaking countries.

Assessment system

  • Continuous assessment (participation, assignments, tests).
  • Personal portfolio (work, reflections, productions).
  • Final exam (oral, written, and comprehension).
  • DELE mock exams.

Recommended materials

  • Textbooks: Aula Internacional, Prisma, Nuevo Español en Marcha.
  • Digital resources: Ave Global (Instituto Cervantes), podcasts, apps such as Duolingo, Italki, etc.
  • Online platform for monitoring progress (Moodle or Google Classroom).
